Hi, my name is Laura Hoskins. As a fellow hobbyist and new team member to Castle Creations, I am excited to share with you why you should try neXt. I have been flying RC Helicopters for 3 years, and have used every flight sim out there. I can tell you from personal experience, there is no better Sim the neXt.
Of all the amazing reasons why neXt is simply the best, here are my top 10!
The most realistic flight sim on the market, neXt allows you to use your own transmitter, which is extremely helpful when learning.
You can practice on your own, or show off your skills with your friends in the interactive online play.
Want to try a new maneuver? Learning has never been easier. In the online play, simply click on your friends’ name and their transmitter pops up onto your screen. Your view will focus in on their aircraft and every stick input will be shown on your monitor; allowing you to mimic their movements and begin to learn the maneuver.
With neXt , all updates are free. New models and flying scenes are being added all the time. Currently there are over 50 helicopter, 10 multi-rotor, and 1 fixed wing available. In 18 different flying scenes.
Digging the multi-rotor scene? Race with friends in one of the multi-rotor specific maps. You can track your time and compete with others for the top spot.
Learning indoor flying is easy now too. With the indoor maps, you can test your control with all the different aircraft.
Who doesn’t love a little night flying? With the glowing heli, you can try your hand at night flying. How low can you go?
NeXt is available on Windows and MAC. This versatile sim plays on both operating systems. Here is a guide to the system requirements:
System: Apple Mac OSX 10.8 or later, Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Ubuntu Linux 12.04 or later
Languages: English, French, German
If you are a beginner, the hover flight training is great tool. Enabling more and more flight control functions to help beginners learn to hover from the four predetermined flight angles, with an inverted flight trainer to complete the course.
It progresses from beginner to advanced in the training modes, allowing you to test what you know, and learn new moves with each new level.
If you are looking for a great way to learn online, play with friends and hone your skill; then this simulator is what is neXt for you!

Looking to update your Traaxas Slash, Stampede 4×4 or Rally car with one of our legendary Castle Sidewinder ESCs? Our friends at RPM R/C Products have just released a couple of ESC “cages” that make it easier than ever to “Power Up” with Castle.
The RPM ESC Cage for both the Castle Sidewinder 3 and the Sidewinder SCT ESCs fit in the stock location on the Traxxas Slash 2WD, Slash 2WD LCG, Slash 4×4, Slash 4×4 LCG, Stampede 4×4 & Rally, while also working on other Traxxas 1/10th scale vehicles.
The RPM Cage simplifies ESC installation and maintenance by providing two screw locations that hold the entire assembly in the vehicle, eliminating the use of double-sided tape or hook/loop fasteners to secure your Castle Sidewinder or SCT Sidewinder.
To fan or not to fan, those are your choices
RPM lets you decide if you want to run a fan or not. Because the cage only encases the ESC body, there is plenty of room to install a Castle ESC cooling fan. This clever design leaves the sides of the ESC open, allowing air to reach them.
The folks at RPM also include a separate, encased on / off switch mount that bolts directly to the cage in one of four locations for even more installation versatility. And because the switch mount attaches directly to the cage, no extra time is needed to remove it. Or if you choose, you can mount the switch anywhere you’d like simply by drilling and tapping two 2mm holes.
These cool ESC cages retail for $9.95 and are available directly from PRM R/C Products.
The gang at Big Squid RC – and specifically, Iron Mike, the self-proclaimed “connoisseur of the destruction of rc cars” – recently installed some of our innovative Castle Polarized Connectorsand completed a “mini-review” of them. What did they think? Here are couple nuggets we pulled out.
“The Castle connectors are no joke for power handling.”
“Some connectors can’t quite handle the high current demands of 8th scale applications, while others can, but wear out too quickly. We found the Castle 6.5mm connectors easily handled the current demands of 8th scale monster trucks while showing very little wear after a couple months of use.”
They also showed the recommended soldering method and put the 6.5mm Castle Connectors to the test in a Thunder Tiger MT4 G3, a Durango DEX408 V2 buggy, and an ARRMA Kraton(along with a Mamba Monster 2 and 2650kV motor upgrade), and the 4.0mm units in a Pro-Line PRO-MT and a Vaterra Halix.
